romance.exe + deep sync release
May 23, 2025ROMANCE.EXE
Hey everyone! Time for a long-overdue update on the romance.exe project—and I’ve got a lot of exciting things to share.
Visuals That Raise the Bar
The rendering process is now running at full speed, and while that’s a huge relief in itself, what’s truly exciting is the quality of the visuals we’re getting from our artist. Honestly, we’ve never had images this stunning in any of our games. Every new render feels like a leap forward, and it's thrilling to see our vision come to life in such detail.
This week, I put together a working prototype using a few early scenes, and showed it to the team. The response? Pure excitement. They all said they’ve never seen anything quite like it in our library—and that means a lot.
From V4 to Next-Gen Characters
Up until recently, we’ve been using our trusted lineup of older characters like Tracy, Lisa, Eleanor, and others—all designed with Victoria 4 models. And while they served us well (especially a decade ago), in 2025 they’re just not cutting it anymore.
With romance.exe, we’re building everything with new-generation characters—far superior in every way. These models come with high-res textures, physically-based shaders, and complex geometry that works natively with the IRAY renderer. The result is not just visual fidelity, but realism and personality that genuinely elevate the entire experience.
We’ve also redefined our lighting systems, established new camera rules, and optimized our image enhancement workflow—both for static visuals and animated sequences. It’s not just better—it’s the best-looking game we’ve ever built, across the board.
Gameplay That Puts You in Control
From a gameplay perspective, I’ve learned a ton from our previous projects like Eleanor in Miami, American Sunset, CVR: Midnight Bliss, and most recently, Beneath Steel Clouds: Deep Sync.
With romance.exe, I’ve designed a clean, flexible mechanic that lets you explore the environment, travel across the city, and engage with characters organically. You won’t be stuck in stat-grind loops or mindless button clicking just to progress.
A built-in journal system will help guide you—informing you of goals, actions, and available interactions—but progression will always be driven by your choices.
Every interaction matters. Characters will remember your actions, adjust their behavior, and react based on how you’ve treated them. That means no two playthroughs will feel the same, and your story will evolve dynamically as a result.
Drama, Depth, and Discovery
Narratively, romance.exe leans deep into emotion, complexity, and character-driven storytelling. There will be drama, cliffhangers, surprises, and plenty of plot twists to keep you hooked.
At the heart of the story are four key female characters, each with their own secrets, motivations, and vulnerabilities. Your choices will shape your relationships with them—and in some cases, your place in their lives.
Chapter-Based Release Coming Soon
For the first time, we’ll be releasing the game in chapters, giving you content in regular, structured updates. The first chapter is scheduled for Q3, and from there, we’ll keep expanding the story and the world with new content drops until the full experience is complete.
Don’t forget to WISHLIST romance.exe on Steam!
It helps us tremendously with visibility, promotion, and community reach—and honestly, seeing your support gives us the energy to work even harder. Thank you!

Whether you're returning to the story or diving in for the first time, this is the definitive version of the experience.
Hey Leo! Do you have a planned estimate of how many chapters you’ll release for Romance.exe! The visuals look amazing by the way
Out of curiosity, what ethnicity are Sonja and Chloe intended to be? I know Lalana is Thai and Erica’s white, but I wasn’t sure what the other two girls were since they’re tan so I wasn’t sure if they were Latina, black, Middle Eastern, etc. Back when we had the Wikia, Daman would often list the girls’ races which I thought was pretty helpful. Thanks!
Great, you like it.
Definitely Chloe got some Latino influence in her appearance and Sonia’s mother was from the Eastern Europe, that’s for sure.
In terms of Wikia, it’s taken down by the admins. They’ve warned Daman that the content was too spicy for them and they are going to turn it off one day. And recently it happened.
thats a shame – maybe try miraheze?
Hi Leo, first of all the renders for romance.exe looks really great! Will surely buy it once it is released.
I have a bug (probably) to report for LwT Luscious Secrets on Steam. For some reason, I am not able to unlock the full Lisa and Sandy show during gameplay even after selecting the right options. The scene is unlocked in the gallery where I am getting the full scene. However, in the gameplay the entire scene is not unlocking. Because of that, I am not able to unlock Sandy’s scenes. Can you please look into it?
Also, one more observation – in the gallery, there is a “Lisa and Sandy pool show” scene in Section A which is unlocked for me. But the “Sandy and Lisa pool show” scene in Wife Gone Wilder + weekends A is locked. Are those 2 different scenes?
LWT Luscious secrets were developed in UNITY and right now I’m not using this software anymore, so I’m not able to check the exact code / conditions of those scenes in this version of the game.
I highly recommend to play AMERICAN SUNSET which is the latest iteration of that title – it fixed all the problems of the original game and add a lot of new content.
Oh alright, thanks for the reply! I have American Sunset too in the library. I was planning to play that after Luscious Secrets. Will unlock whatever I can and then move to American Sunset.
Hope this means you aren’t moving away from the older models completely, especially with how easy it is to recreate the older models in Genesis 8 or 9. Sure it’s not as simple as pressing a button and having the newer mesh morph into the shape of the older but it’s still not too bad, I’ve been doing it myself.
Export the mesh you want to modify, in this case Genesis 9, along with the older model like Tracy and have them overlap in software like Blender or Zbrush. After that, either straight up sculpt the Gen 9 mesh or import shape keys to create the general shape first and then modify until the Genesis 9 mesh flickers on top of the older mesh. Once done simply export the finished Gen 9 into Daz by using Morph Loader Pro to add it to the Gen 9 model. The mesh will be done, then it’s just texturing and adding assets like clothing and hair. Could also package the model once complete so you can send it to different artists to use without manually installing all the assets themselves.
There might be an automated way to do it out there on the internet (I’ve not found one that works great for all models), but this method is guaranteed to work with any, so if Genesis 10 comes along one day, you don’t have to wait until someone creates the tools to do it.
We still love those old models, and we’re aware that you still want to play games with Tracy and Lisa, so we’re not abandoning them. We plan to update LWT1 and LWT2 for a while, so you’ll have a chance to spend as much time with them as you like. However, we have to think about the future and latest generations are the way we need to follow.
We’re internally debating if to go with LWT3. If yes, where to set the action, which characters we should include and what kind of story should follow that. For this potential edition of LWT we already have redesigned models of TRACY and LISA. We’ve significantly updated materials and switch to IRAY engine – new version of old models look so much better. So when we have a green light with LWT3, we’ll present them to you.
In terms of transforming VICTORIA 4 (Beautiful bends to be precise) to GENESIS 6 or 8 – we’ve tried many methods and even YamYoda was consulting this with one specialist who was convinced that he is able to do that. Unfortunately, it wasn’t possible. The method you’re describing isn’t the solution. You’ll never be able to manually shape the new model in a way the original one was designed, especially when we’re talking about a character, that players know for years and are aware of every aspect of the model’s physiognomy. Details are the key, and with sculpting you’re not able to replicate everything one-2-one. Maybe when you’re Michelangelo and you got 10 years for that. We’ve tried something similar and players immediately said no to the new version.
Then the new textures for G8 would be an issue because V4 are designed differently. So really, it’s not that easy as you believe it is.
I’m interested in what the new models are going to look like if LwT3 goes ahead (like you said, it will be a while before you’ll show them), and your team has far greater experience than I. One member of your team alone has about 10 times more so I understand if you dismiss this but when I transferred Vic 4 models to Gen 8, the final result was about 95% likeness to the original, and that was mainly the way the body’s mesh was slightly different, not the face itself which I think is the part that needs the most attention.
I used Wrap in my workflow, which shaped the mesh as close as possible to the original and then sculpted it with a tablet and stylus to create the right pressure to overlap the two meshes. Once done I went back into Wrap and since the meshes’ geometry was close to each other, the face textures transferred over well with just some slight touch-ups in Photoshop. The body textures could be a Gen 8 texture that’s similar to the original but has been edited to have the nipples of the older model upscaled and add marks like moles to the skin that are on the old model. You can easily blend the head and body textures together with a mask before exporting them.
But if you said your team has tried it and the results aren’t great then fair enough, it’s a process that is all about trail and error to replicate the old look, and it can take a while to recreate it in a satisfactory state.
On steam it says Romance.exe releases at the 3rd quarter of 2026. Isn’t it a mistake? Not 2025? That’s not so soon.
Game will be released in chapters – the first one in Q3 2025. It’s difficult to forecast when we release the final chapter and publish the complete game on STEAM. So Q3 2026 is only an estimation.
