But today this news somehow cheered me up knowing that Serena will be back…The images and models looks great…Serena is beautiful, I like her model and how she looks like. I like the idea and plotline of how you guys is trying to bring Serena back…In any case this is really great news.
I just want to add and mention something about other game. First I wanna say that the game has potential to be GREAT just like American Sunset, Eleanor, and Serena, I’m talking about the game called “Living with Britney” Even though it’s old and just a flash game, I wanna say that “Living with Britney” could be next masterpiece. If you guys give that game a chance for re-make or transformation into something new…
“Living with Britney” has VERY similar mechanics and plotline just like the game “Living with Temptation” In any case I’ll understand whatever you guys decide…This was just something to think about it. Because “Living with Britney” is a very good game…Cheers to you all.

Well, given how little time passed since the previous Serena-related article, I have serious doubt that anything that was said in the comments influenced this in any way, shape, or form. Which is not surprising, since like… feedback rarely meant anything for LoP (if it did, Tracy would have fucked Derek at least a dozen times by now).
So Dark Confessions are “cannon”… well that sucks. I’ll be honest, I have serious doubts about the quality of writing this is going to end up having, mainly the parts concerning the therapist (please, please do NOT include any hypnosis stuff).
Thats fair concerns- a full rebooted sequel would of been cool but this seems like a re-pivot to the lighter tone – and back to hopefully serena as the loving partner girl next door vibe. No retcon DC.. but saying she is strong and came through herself again..
They clearly said not dark tone.. and hypnosis is dark lol

– I have no idea why you’re saying that Dark Confessions is canon. We’ve never stated anything like that. The events from that game didn’t actually happen — they were just a nightmare, as we clearly described in the phrase “after a chilling nightmare (Serena: Dark Confessions)”. Maybe we weren’t precise enough in wording it, but by nightmare we truly mean a bad dream — something Serena recently experienced.
– We also never mentioned anything about hypnosis. That’s entirely your assumption, not ours — so semi77, there’s really no reason to worry about that.
– And regarding the claim that we don’t listen to player feedback — based on what, exactly? The Yellow Creek concept was directly adjusted according to ideas and suggestions many of you shared on the blog. That’s why we always ask for your opinions. We genuinely listen and try to implement community ideas whenever it’s possible. American Sunset was built around the kinds of stories you wanted to see, and the same approach applies to the upcoming DLC.
– As for the Tracy / Derek scene — yes, we plan to include it in the DLC, though we haven’t officially announced it yet. We’re currently discussing with Iksanabot how best to design that moment.

It was never my intention to twist anything, I was only replying to what has been written, and I am sorry but something being called a nightmare does not always mean it not being real. So, thank you for clarifying that.
And yes, you did not say a hypnosis will be part of the story, but you can’t blame someone for assuming it might be. It is a common trope for adult games when it comes to therapy. I was simply asking you, the developers to please not follow that trend.
My jab at you guys rarely (not never, mind you) listening to feedback is not based on this Serena thing alone, I have been around since the times of Jordan 500, I have probably read every blog post that has ever been published on this blog (and its previous iterations) and after all this time, I feel like the things people ask for in the comments are rarely implemented. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing, because let’s be honest, people (me included, just to be safe) sometimes ask for real stupid stuff.
It’s also where the bit about Tracy and Derek comes from, because that was something people asked for way back when the first expansion to the first iteration of LWT happened and since then there were a lot of other opportunities to implement it, even before American Sunset. And with American Sunset, people again asked for it since day one, we are several DLCs in and it still did not happen (and there were no hints ever given that it might). Instead, we got like Caleb, which is something nobody asked for (sorry, couldn’t help myself here, I really am not fan of that whole storyline).
I really like the concept even more.. and it makes sense… congratulations you passed the test you didnt cheat would not go down well lol … serena then having a dream about what if julian cheated and her abuse at Eric’s hand her mind punishing her a guilty subconscious… which then explains the therapy… why did have doubts… so many possibilities
Oh and since we are getting honestly our dream game in terms true serena coming back i hope the same things still apply.. she might want to do a FFM like with lorena and Melissa if julian pushes for it. But her seeking others outside that is a failure of julian to I would guess protect her again the dr influence
Perhaps I’m in the minority, but I dislike the extensive use of AI in these animations. It looks uncanny to me. Hopefully, there aren’t tons of it.
