New save system
January 28, 2020Listen up! This week we’ve initiated development of our upgraded save system:
- we’ll test if we can store saves in a different location than before – thanks to that game progress shouldn’t be vulnerable to clearing browser cache, incognito mode or sudden browser crashes
- next to the auto-save feature, which we plan to keep, we’ll add 3 separate save slots so you can save and load game progress however you like
- we’ll use this new system with UNDER THE BLACK BANNER first
QUESTION: Would you like to have a possibility to download your saves / game progress? Then you can transfer them to a different computer or just keep them on your HDD as a backup. Please let us know in the comments.
That’s pretty great news! I always wanted the option to save the game whenever I like.
As for the question: yes, I think it could be great to have that.
Also, one thing I think you should try to implement is the skip button to go quicker through the texts when replaying the game.
Finally! This is a really necessary thing!
It’s a really good decision, make it happen !! and add to old games !!
1. Let members can choose where to save
2. More than 3 slot, 5 to 12 will be nice !!
Oh YES! Then we can transfer save files and not have to worry about playing the entire game again just to unlock the same cheats (again)

I don’t care about downloading saves though. Like, I have no opinion on it. It would be inviting to just download a complete save from someone else, but I guess that’s something everyone has to decide for themselves. But having saves linked to the account seems like the most normal thing ever, and it’s weird it took so long.
We haven’t mentioned about “saves linked to the account”.
Our new solution doesn’t mean ON-LINE SAVES – it’s still local.
Alright. I misunderstood the ‘store saves in different locations’ then as being a location on your end.
If that’s not the case, yes, being able to transfer saves to for example tablet or phones would be nice.
We definitely need this. I want the ability to download the saves to the hard drive so they can be transferred from computer to computer or from browser to browser within the same computer.
+1 for local save files
