About our older games
November 25, 2020We’ve made a very important first step in terms of our older games, designed with MACROMEDIA / ADOBE FLASH (SWF files). As you might know, browsers are supporting this format only till the end of 2020. With the next year you won’t be able to play any FLASH games in your browser. That’s a huge issue for us cause majority of our games was developed with that software and you won’t be able to play them very soon.
PREMIUM GAMES
Today our PREMIUM website was modified and we’ve added EXECUTABLE versions of our older, flash developed games (we’ve called it CLASSICS) which you can download and play on your PC offline. So even if browsers won’t support flash any more you’ll be able to play games offline from EXE file on your PC.
I’m sorry to say that we’re not able to build downloadable MAC versions – we’ll try to find a workaround.
Process of converting those games into EXE files was complicated so if you’ve encountered any issues with those games please let us know via this contact form: https://lessonofpassion.com/support/
FREE GAMES
Unfortunately vast majority of our FREE GAMES was developed with FLASH. Converting all old games into UNITY will be a very mundane and ultra time consuming process and we prefer to spend this time on developing new games.
So what do we plan to do with them?
CASE 1
We’ll select the games we like the most and in which we see potential for expansion – those game will receive a second life. Our team will remodel characters and locations and render it again. We’ll refresh gameplay and story a little and then the game will be build from scratch in UNITY with all new features we offer in our modern games – sex scenes and endings gallery, new save and load system, etc. You’ll be able to play them on-line and download offline version from STEAM.
CASE2
Games with easy to replicate structure, proper set of visuals and texts we’ll try to rebuild in UNITY. We’ll just use the already existing assets (slightly improved in post processing) and texts we already have. We don’t plan add any extra content for those games. Those games will be available on-line only.
CASE3
When we’re not able to build the game again because of the technical or asset issues we’ll try to create FLASH PROJECTS from those games (EXE) and give you an option to download those games from lessonofpassion.com.
CASE4
In some cases, when the title is very old, wasn’t to well received or because of the technical reasons we’re not able to make an EXE from it – we’ll abandon it.
Process has already started and we got some old titles already during re-development.
And now I want to ask about your opinion – let us know what do you think about this plan?
Do you want us to spend time on resurrecting old titles? I’m sure games will benefit from REDUX versions but do you want us to just rebuild older games in UNITY without any extras? Is that worth the effort in your opinion? So let us know if you want us to work with CASE 2 and CASE 3. Bare in mind that could affect development process of our PREMIUM games.
Working on Case 1 is a great idea, games like LWT, that you are doing right now. But working on Case 2 and Case 3 seems like a huge payoff for delay in Premium games. Case1 Along with Premium games getting delivered a little early would be the best.
I guess everyone agrees Case 1 is the most important and you should focus on that. Some of those games just have too much potential to be lost.
Case 2 and 3. It’d be a shame to lose so much great work, but imho it shouldn’t be the focus. Most people are also able to find all those old flash games somewhere on the internet and play them with a flash player. Although I would love to see the occasional old game come out, let it be occasional.
Case 1 is ideal.
As a long time fan I’d like to see old games rebuild with new techniques and content but I wouldn’t want new and existing projects to be affected or delayed because of this. I agree what SeanCages said, occasional remake of old titles that could maybe be decided by polls
Case 1 if possible. As a long time fan (been around even before a gold site existed), I’d love an improved version of old games like Lake Party, The Agency, Casino of Passion, Kitsumi…
Case 1, if possible. Other than that, don’t kill yourselves over games that fell flat.
On a side note, some of those pics brought back some fond memories!
my girl is a model should be one to consider a expansion always one my fav games.
DON’T abandon any games, they all must be downlodable if can’t be played online
if you still decide to drop some, list them in advance and tell the reason
what about completely online games like texas holdem?
I can imagine doing case 1 to ALL games to be just too boring, mundane and repetitive…
That said, about 80-95% of the LOPgold flash games deserve to have a reskin and redux.
Its amazing to have all of them available as a flash executable zip file for us to play for nostalgia.
However i see that it will detract from future projects and so forth.
Despite this I really would want updated and revamped games. Case 1 for me. I do suggest doing one game at a time, and perhaps a vote/poll for us to pick which old game to remodel?
Hi, everybody. There is another game, so to say “old school”, but it was with this game that my life on the planet “lessonofpassion” began. And it would be nice if they didn’t forget to move it to 4K, too))) It is clear that this is only my desire, but as far as I understand this game, it was not fully implemented because the game required a continuation or at least an extension. I’m talking about the game – “Zoe and Vince”)))
Sorry, English is not my native language :p
Absolutely Case 1. I’d love to see Hot Wife Tara expanded into a full game. I’d also like to see a remake of Hot Wife Story 2.
It´s great when we still can download the old games as exe.
I played story of Didi and, there is no ending. The games didn´t show the ends. Can you take look at this problem?
I’ve just tested this game in EXE format and I got no issues with getting the ending. Please let me know more details here: https://lessonofpassion.com/support/
Case 3 and 4. Look forward, not backwards. So you don’t waste time on old games and focus on new ones and expanding current ones on unity.
Don’t abandon the oldies. Mix all the cases and if it takes longer for new games then so be it. You guys put to much work into these projects to abandon the oldies. You guys seem to have a rock solid plan as is. Prioritize the old stuff at least until the majority of the work is over. By the way, love Serena and David. Keep going guys.
Ameno
Save the oldies! City of Love and Lop1+2 are real good classics.
Case 1+2 would be my choice as a dev myself and pick cases per title level and try and leave only a few to Case 3+4.
Well, imho, some games DEFINITELY need a continuation/revisit because they were left on a cliffhanger. Thorn-E, Secrets of Heaven and Verona Project from the top of my head. Gotta be at least some form of closure, don’t you think?
Also, it would be a shame to never see again some very interesting characters. Like for example, what did eventually become of Kim Milano and the other girls from the academy. This goes way back for me (still kind of sad that there wasn’t a “good” ending with Katie in Passion One; believe it was the first LoP game-that or Platinium, I played at playforceone). So, cases 1 and 2 mostly, where it’s possible and feasible, to save as many as you can.
Speaking of playforceone.com, is the update with Aurora still happening? Understandable if it was pushed back, just asking. And whatever the answer is, hope you go back on what you said previously and we’ll see a bit more of Kelly; she’s probably the biggest reason I kept coming to that site (still do)
Save Detective Dick plz.
Agent 69 best female undercover forever for me
Good story nice art
I have problems with the classic games that I have downloaded on my pc. The games work but I don’t see some animations in some scenes and this makes it impossible to play. Any solution to solve this problem? thanks.
In which game you don’t see animations?
CVR and Lily in Hawaii. I have tried these.
